.1
The energy used for the event will not be generated by a diesel generator; instead, the festival is connected to the Botanical Garden’s electrical grid, which is powered by renewable sources.
The use of sustainable transportation is encouraged for reaching the festival, including public transport, bicycles, electric mobility, and ride-sharing. Even for international participants, it has been suggested to use the train rather than flying.
We have adopted a plastic-free policy by choosing consumable materials with a lower environmental impact. To further reduce emissions associated with material purchases, almost exclusively rented, and therefore reusable, furnishings are used, and local suppliers from Rome and the Lazio region have been selected.
The catering offerings are predominantly vegetarian, with washable or fully compostable tableware.
At the end of the event, any residual emissions—those that could not be avoided—will be offset through certified projects related to the energy transition towards renewable sources.
THE FESTIVAL
Our primary contribution to sustainability is the festival itself, which involves and raises awareness among all participants—visitors, guests, exhibitors, and suppliers—through in-depth discussions, debates, workshops, and screenings dedicated to environmental issues. The festival radiates environmental culture and practices conscious, sustainable choices.
